Vegetable Garbage Soup Recipe ~ 2 No Fail Tips! (GREAT Every Time!)

This vegetable garbage soup recipe is something that can be made if you are on an extreme budget.  This recipe does not have a set list of specific ingredients. It is made using leftovers that one would normally throw in the garbage.   Thus it’s name.

Practically everyone has leftovers when cooking a dinner.  Sometimes the amount of leftovers is so small, that one would just toss them in the trash instead of storing them in a large container to reheat later.

Instead of tossing them in the trash, you should follow the tips provided below to create this delicious soup.

2 No Fail Tips For Making This Vegetable Garbage Soup Recipe

I’d love to share these tips that were told to me by various relatives.  These tips will help you create a garbage soup that is not blah and bland, but instead one that is so dag num delicious that you’ll want to make a pot at least once a month!

Be sure to prepare this garbage soup recipe the next time you are entertaining guests.  They are sure to love it!

Shred & Sizzle That Meat

Any meat that you have, should be shredded and then fried up in the skillet until it has a nice, crispy crust on the edges.  This will not only add a bit more flavor to your soup, but also a bit of a crunch.

It’s also more pleasant on the eyes to see fried meat. Instead of bland meat that may have been previously boiled.

Smart Storage Solution For Your Leftovers

You will need two gallon Ziploc bags.  Mark one bag “vegetables” and the other bag “meat”.  Be sure to date the bags with the date you started adding food to them.  Put a note on the bag that this is for your garbage soup recipe so that you will know what the ingredients are for.

Now when you have leftovers, simply drain the vegetables and toss them in the vegetable bag.  Shred the meat, and place this in the meat bag.  Keep these bags in the freezer and add to them whenever necessary.

This is a great way to save even the smallest amount of leftovers!  Just be sure to use up the entire bag within 3 months.

I hope that you enjoy this recipe, it’s GREAT for anyone who is looking to save money towards their grocery budget.  Once your soup is cooked, you can store it in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.  I do nto recommend freezing any left over soup since it’s made from ingredients that have already be cooked and frozen.
